He fought valiantly, unfortunately the capitalist party controlled by the Democratic National Committee did not want anything that resembles socialism leading its bid for the Whitehouse.
One thing you should take note of immediately is that this is the 2nd time in as many Presidential elections that the majority of people did not get what they wanted from the Democratic party. That party, and the Republican party, are mastered by corporations and predatory capitalists. They will never let average people rise to power, and they'll obstruct any attempt at doing so.

Also note that there are other ways to institute change in your government, and direct action might be something that is suitable for you. Whatever it is the first steps are to get with like minded people, people determined of helping everyone rather than pursuing profits and personal gain.
